A Scrappy Butterfly Quilt Pattern by J Michelle Watts. Taking in Flight is another quilt in my series of scrap reduction projects. The butterfly is a symbol of freedom, lightness and joy. This bold butterfly can be pieced using a single color family, for example orange, blue or yellow. Make her really stand out using a variety of different colors. I used a collection of Kaffe Fassett prints for my butterfly. The butterfly is easy to piece with simple straight seams.

Pattern includes instructions for a 64" x 72" pieced quilt.
